Vice President Joe Biden Commends Tendril as Clean Tech Company.

Tendril, an energy platform company, was featured in remarks by Vice President Joe Biden at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colo. on Friday, May 20.

The Company said the Vice President hailed Tendril as a prime example of a company that is spurring U.S. job creation, improving consumer energy usage through home energy management, growing the economy, and helping America win the future.

"Now, more than ever, America's future competitiveness depends on our ability to innovate and our capacity to live up to our rich history of technological advancement," said Vice President Biden.

Vice President Biden was at NREL to highlight the Administration's commitment to encouraging innovation, and investing in research and development to keep America competitive in the 21st century.

The Vice President cited Tendril's recently announced deployment deal with Origin Energy, an Australian integrated energy company, that will begin piloting Tendril Energize in thousands of customer homes in the second half of 2011 with potential for mass distribution to nearly 5 million homes.

Tuck was joined at NREL by several Tendril employees as well as senior executives from Origin Energy.
